Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.

I’m having a hard time figuring out if I even like Clara? For a second I was like yeah I think she is funny! But her entire personality (At least at the beginning) is that she works too much and that just isn’t doing it for me. She is also feeling SO GUILTY about missing her friends lives?? I also am having a hard time seeing where the relationship/feelings/romantic feelings between her and Mack are going to come from?? I usually love a second chance, and even a right person wrong time - which is what this seems to be! But he seems to be PINING and she is too busy/has been too busy with work to even really think about him?? Until now when he’s literally right in front of her.
