I picked this up because I'm a twin and was curious about the twin representation, plus was excited for the opportunity to read a magic mystery book that had LGBTQIA+ and POC representation, but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the book. I really could not understand the pendulum swinging of the FMC's feelings and morals. I wasn't really surprised by anything in the book, other than its awkward use of slang... There's a sentence that reads "why is their beef so visceral". The writing style isn't for me, but I understand everyone has different preferences... The end of the book felt very flat and summary-esque to me, instead of an exciting culmination. I really wish I had enjoyed this more.
