I absolutely loved Leah & Jack. They could've been the classic friends turned lovers story line, and in some ways they were, but they are also so much more. Leah and Jack were both raised in Lucky Harbor, so they are locals who know and can understand if not begrudgingly appreciate the town's quirky residents (Lucille for example). Leah's dad was verbally abusive when she was growing up, telling her that she couldn't do anything right. As a result, Leah can't finish anything. Jack's dad was a firefighter and died a hero. Jack watched his mom close herself off from love and did the same. Despite these issues they ultimately get their HEA. I spent so much of this book laughing out loud because this book, like the others in the Lucky Harbor series, had so much humor to go with the sweet moments. I highly recommend this book to any romance reader and can't wait for Aubrey & Ben's story.
