My second trip down memory lane with Book 2 of the Chalet series, this time the school is building on its success with pupil numbers growing but plenty of adventures to be had. I like the fact that it isn’t all roses round the door and the children aren’t all sweet and light. They have personality clashes and sometimes they are unkind to each other and harsh but that is what children are like. Then there are instances of kindness, understanding and bravery. Rufus and his Mom Zita join the school (St Bernard dogs!
