Man. This was hot garbage... BUT it was entertaining hot garbage...
Don't read this if you want to be an intellectual. It's a quick and easy read that has a reverse harem plot with semi-nice guys and a semi-interesting suspense plot. You have 4 guys and 1 girl and this is the first time I'm reading reverse harem so this intro was.... definitely something.
There's not much substance to the men but since this is book 1 of 4 I wasn't expecting too much personality...
You have:
Knox - The eldest moody brother who honestly seems the most grounded in reality.
Keelan - The second eldest who is the flirty, happy-go-lucky person.
Creed - Youngest twin #1 who is a mini-me version of Knox but less annoying.
Colt - Youngest twin #2 who is the stereotype golden boy and has a golden retriever personality.
Knox and Colt are my favorites so far but I don't really care much for their characters as you can tell they don't have much going for them plot wise... all brothers are simply there to push the romance.
Now, as for Shiloh.... she's uhhh... giving very much "I'm not like other girls" and not in a good way... how she's able to make a bunch of guy friends and only 1 girlfriend.... oof she lowkey a pick me... but its not like the other girls aren't... I just don't like how the author made all the girls so mean to Shiloh for no reason... well the reason was a guy but... any girl who lets a boy come in between the sisterhood... UR NOT COOL BRUH. UR LAMEEEE. Every girl in this book, even the FMC, WAS LAMEEEEE.
Nevertheless... ignoring the shitty character personality and cringe dialogue... books like these are a guilty pleasure as you don't need much to enjoy this... at least imo... read at ur own risk...
ALSO CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS! This book features attempted SA, violence, and graphic depictions of death... well... as graphic as a romance author can get... cuz I've read worse descriptions but I would still be cautious...
I'll probably continue the series soon since it was short and... not sweet... but entertaining...
