This book was unnecessarily long for no reason……. but it was definitely a fun read. lots of plot holes tho… LIKE WHY TF DIDNT HE REMEMBER THE DAMN MIRROR??????

Truly, I love this world but it is such a shame that we only ever get Harry’s POV 99% of the time. I wanna know what’s going on with the Order! I wanna see the actual shit conspiring in the wizarding world and not just in Hogwarts from Harry’s unreliable narrative. I get it, the point of these books is that they’re made for kids and it probably was never meant to be analyzed this deep but I do wish we got more perspective of the impending danger of the genocide and war brewing in the wizarding world and how the Order was combating against it… but I don’t think She Who Must Not Be Named can come up with something that requires critical thinking and manage to not just be racist and weird about it… (That’s what we have the movies for, at least!)

I think reading these books for the first time ever as an adult has definitely made me more critical about the world building as opposed to if I had read them as a kid. That being said, I fucking loved it, I loved the goofiness and the fun and everything we got here. I love that we’re finally getting some answers albeit very late, confusing and full of plot holes BUT still enjoyable. If I let my inner child just enjoy these books for what they are, I fucking love them! But alas, I am weird and logical. Still amazing :)

p.s. Luna is so autistic i love her :3

p.p.s. harry needed to tell someone umbridge was mutilating him bro??? LIKE THATS NOT SOMETHING U JUST EAT AND MOVE ON FROM???? The kid is already traumatized enough,, some therapy would do him some good but bro is like anxiety personified and wont SPEAK UP!
