Knights' Sinner by Bella Jewel
3.0

So, after the last installment of the MC Series by Bella Jewel, she had a lot to live up to.

It was sexy, emotional, and action packed.

I needed that level of intensity to get me through this installment. I mean it made me feel like I knew the characters. That I hung out with them, and could hang at a bar with them.

This one didn't quite grip me as much as the other books in the series like the others. It didn't quite pick up until Serenity revealed her secret. From that point on I was a mess of ugly crying. Serenity won me over, with her broken state of mind. She was so lost, and the one person she needed to save her tossed her back into the cage of a lion that was fully prepared to devour her.

I honestly believe it was Jackson that broke her, not her father.

He was the light away from her dark world of pain and abuse.

He left her.

I feel that it was part of a lack of real connection to her as a person. I didn't feel the early connection with Serenity and Jackson that I felt with the other couples. I felt she was more connected to Muff to be honest. Spike continued to redeem himself in this installment by showing her compassion, knowing what she had gone through. Add in the women making the best attempt possible to save her.

God, Bella really picked up the feels in these last two books, because I really didn't want Serenity to forgive Jackson. I wanted her to say no! He said he was sorry, told her she has nothing to be sorry for, and she came out the hero in the end which I LOVED!

In the end, it didn't wow me as much as the previous two, but the second half of the book made up for it for me.
