“Israel cannot possibly cover this up. it will not happen again. the world will know at last. things will change.”

heartbreaking. moving. upsetting. i cannot believe that this is still happening now.

the characters that abulhawa created for this story were such well rounded characters that i cared for from start to finish.

i genuinely don’t know what else to say. read this book. feel the history that’s in it. the exact characters might be fictional but real people went through things like this and are STILL going through this.
