Reading this was like watching a car crash in slow motion - couldn’t take your eyes off it while a feeling of horror builds.

Bit weird that two of her friends end up dead and the others who were insane were never spoken about since they recovered from flu. My favourite character was Alma- Moria Jean’s mother.
It also didn’t feel like 1919 with the language used or about the flu, seemed very Covid-coded.
