The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

5.0

Oh man, what can I say? I read Perks when I was 10, and I knew it meant a lot, but now reading it 8 years later, having experienced so much of what Charlie goes through... this book meant so much more to me. I guess in a way, I’ve been a wallflower through High school and had a lot of the same questions about life and love and loss that I myself have faced as I developed serious mental illness at the age of 11. Charlie really means a lot to me. And somewhere deep inside me, I feel like he wrote those letters for me. And it makes me feel less alone.
