I had accidentally read the second book first, and absolutely loved it. But I feel like if I had read this first like I was supposed to I would not have kept going. I just didn't like the gangster and the sister, especially what they did to Asa. the graphicness of it was disgusting, and went too far especially for it being the first volume where we are trying to like theIcharacters. Asa wasnt a good guy by any means, but he didn't deserve what the gangster brother and his crony did to him at all. I really don't know how I feel about the first volume, I'm very disturbed.
