Dark Eden by Chris Beckett

This one was so hard for me to rate. The first half of the book was so drawn out and I almost didn't finish the book. The incest and the caveman like language really got under my skin. I will say as the book goes one it definitely makes sense why the author did it this way, it's building a bigger story.

I would say this is a great book if you enjoy literature and character analysis. If you're just looking for a good sci-fi read, this isn't for you.

Watching them evolve most the most interesting aspect of the book.

One thing that still bugs me is that if they all came from two people who were former Earth residents, why is the language so simple? I mean their main influences would have been Tommy and Angela, who would have spoken in an educated manner, given they were orbit police.
