Up until about the last hundert pages this was a 5-star for me!
❥ This was my first Ali Hazelwood and she truly is as funny as everybody said, she got me audibly laughing and giggling!
❥ I enjoyed the science talk a lot since that's where my interests lay
❥ The tension between Elsie and Jack was huge from the beginning up until the moment they gave in to each other and that kept me on the edge of my seat
❥ Loved the representation of mental health and problems regarding said, the topics weren't just funny and silly but deep as well
× Sometimes, especially in the beginning, the writing was confusing and difficult for me to understand since it was so science heavy, but over time I got used to it (totally not the books fault since English isn't my first language)
× What made this book go from a 5-star to a 4.5 was that Jack and Elsie seemed to just be sexual once they gave in to each other, it felt like there was nothing else going on but them smash***
× They seemed childish to me from time to time regarding their sexual activities, felt like reading about teenagers who were just discovering what they like or don't and discovering their bodies in general
Nonetheless I had a great time, Ali Hazelwood did an awesome job and this was nearly perfect for me, looking forward to read more of her publications!
