Absolutely fantastic storyline
I am so happy to have discovered Annabella Michaels! What a great storyteller she is. One of the things I really look for in my romance books is an author who weaves a great tale, does a great job with the protagonists' character development and has a realistic and detailed story arc with interesting secondary characters. Some hot sex scenes are always nice but really it is a great story with characters that I want to know and care about that has me going back and buying more books. This series from Michaels has all of that and more.
Carter and Ryan are sweet and likeable and I wish they could be my neighbors!! I was tense for half the book waiting for the precipitating event that you could just sense was coming. It was pretty clear what was going to happen the anticipation came from wondering how. Michaels did a great job building that tension without being too obvious or manipulative.
I love his family and am very excited to move on to book three and Landon and Micah's story.
