The New Wilderness
by Diane Cook
Overall, I enjoyed the book; but at times, the pacing dragged. Also, I found the return to Anges and Bea’s relationship over and over again to be tiring.
One thing I didn’t like about the book was the vagueness of “The City,” and other parts of the world. It struck me as lazy. Just leave these vague placeholders like city, mines, manufacturing zone, and let the reader fill them in with their own imagination.
