(seriously though, was not was I was expecting and i think that's why it's only 3 stars. I agree with the majority of reviews that say Cline's writing is pretentious rather than pretty, but I disagree with the ones that say it's shallow. i think what made the book is i really really connect to evie - didn't every 14-year-old girl who wanted to be noticed? her thoughts on the m/f power struggle also brilliant.)
