This is one of those "we found love in a hopeless place" type of stories with a revenge fantasy plot. I loved it, but while it is very graphic and weirdly romantic, it is not hot or sweet. It's not so dark that all is lost, but it's one of the darkest things I've ever read. All possible trigger warnings.
