This is an amazing, heartfelt, heartwarming, emotional book. Dallas is a hockey player with a big ego and lots of talent. He loves women and they love him. However, when he meets Emily who is older things begin to change. I love a reverse age gap. I love when our mature women can take a boy and make him a man. That’s what Emily did, she reformed Dallas into becoming a man who valued her and knew that he needed to step up to be with her. This books talks about cancer. There are mentions of treatments, psychological effects and the journey to recovery and loving yourself. Cancer has unfortunately touched my life in many ways, my aunts and my mother passed away from cancer. So when reading a book that delves into this disease that has been in my life many times I appreciate when the author is sensitive and thoughtful in the way they present it and discuss it. Kudos to this author with doing such a wonderful job.
