TLDR: the main character sets out on a journey to find his wife but ends up finding himself.
The Zahir, was a slow-paced book that was written in the first person narrative about a journey the main character goes on to find his wife "The Zahir". I think that since it was in the first person perspective, it was hard for me to understand who was speaking when in some chapters and had to piece that together. Along with trying to follow the timeline since there were points when the book kept jumping back and forth, from present to past.
I wasn't expecting the book to be more on the "finding myself" troupe but more of a mystery that the main character had to figure out. Overall, it was an easy read but not easily comprehendible to where the main character had a lot of questioning about their life and wife (didn't mean to rhyme).
