Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune

Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.

I was so excited for this book because House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my new favorites of all time. However, this book seemed to me to try a little too hard with grief and empathy that it seemed like there was a new life lesson with every page. I didn't like any of the characters (except Apollo because duh), and all the dialogue felt really unrealistic. They seemed to be all caricatures instead of fleshed-out characters. I wish I loved this more than I did. I really do.
