In my opinion, (experimental) storytelling doesn't get any better than this. Sexing the Cherry is weird, and emotional, and bizarre, and unique, and magical in all the best ways, incorporating history and historical fiction and fairy tale re-telling all in one compelling narrative. Rich in symbolism and magical in writing, it truly is a blessing of a book, one I can't believe I get to read as part of writing my dissertation.
