The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum

5.0

Okay, NOW I am truly finished the book.

There were a lot of parts in the book, that being someone who saw the 1930's movie, was delighted to see in there. The five hundred pages was definitely worth the read. (I read it on my phone, which added up to five hundred pages)

There was more meaning for the characters of Oz, Scarecrow, Lion and Tinman. Baum gave those characters meaning and true purpose. I even liked how Dorothy was sent home better in the book then the movie. "Oh, you wouldn't have believed me." I swear, Glinda's line in the movie is truly sad. Who do they think will believe that.

They left out so many great parts that were absolutely wonderful in the book, entire places and characters in Oz. The white China city, the Winkies, the forest with the terrible beast, and so on....

I thought how Dorothy and the Lion were saved from the poppy field was much better than in the movie. Oh, that reminds me of another batch of characters, the field mice.

For my first time reading a book digitally, it was pretty fantastic. I can't wait to get the five hundred page book in paperback, and to keep reading books online too.

A total five star read
