This was a great start of a sequel series to Legends of Thezmarr. I loved Wren's character growth throughout the book, as well as the tension between her and Torj. The spicy level was perfect imo. The ending

where Torj severs their bond and breaks up with Wren

was a bit predictable since this will probably be a four book series. I thought there was some hand waving near the end to explain

how Torj survived that knife to the chest.
