The earnestness with which Waite treats casual queer acceptance as if she can make it happen just by wishing hard enough kinda makes me want to cry. We've got no time for homophobia here, we've got a con to run. She throws a poly throuple into the mix and doesn't wait for any objections, just keeps moving on, bc if the characters roll with it maybe society will too. Anyway, this was delightful and self-indulgent the way only a queer socialist racially diverse wish fulfillment romance written during a pandemic lockdown can be. I love being pandered to, keep 'em coming
