Middle of the Night by Riley Sager

medium-paced

2.0

I received an e-ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book was not as scary as I hoped it would be. It had a lot of potential and a lot of buildup, but ultimately, I found it quite predictable. I was barely halfway through the book when I predicted certain endings and continue to read in the hopes that I was wrong and that there was a twist , but that is unfortunately not what happened. I feel like the plot line with Ethanā€˜s wife was obvious, and the institution plot line was quite disappointing. I would describe the ending of this book as sweet, which is not what I wanted from a book that I expected to be scary and horrificy.
