The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace
5.0
I've been so against reading poetry since studying it at GCSEs, which is strange because I actually loved analysing and studying poetry back then (I honestly don't understand how my mind works sometimes), but I decided to try this collection out because Tom (TJ Reads The Stars) has been raving about this poetry collection.
It didn't disappoint.
I found myself getting emotional at so many of the poems in this collection. Whilst I knew I wasn't alone in my experiences of life, it certainly feels like that most of the time which is why I think this collection got to me so much. Being so young and going through almost everything that Amanda Lovelace talks about is a scary realisation but it's one that is going to help me with moving on in the future.
I don't think I've ever wrote a proper review on here (is this even a review?? it's more of a ramble) but it felt like something I needed to do.
