The plot in this book is excellent. The writing however, makes it hard to get through. I had a tough time connecting with the main character because 1)the writing of this book and 2) her choices. As someone who's been in abusive relationships, this book was very triggering for me (It was given to me from a friend and I made the mistake of not reading TW before starting). The red flags were all there so I could see what was coming which was even more frustrating. But hindsight is 20/20. You could say I couldn't put it down because I needed to finish it in order to get my anxiety to come down. Once I realized what it was, it was too late.
