i would sell every organ in my body if it meant i could have this book now

updated review:

thankfully, i didn't need to sell every organ in my body to read it before the release date, but i WOULD sell every organ to read it for the first time again. i've said it before, and i think i'll say it every time emily henry releases a new book - she writes in a way that's so familiar that it's simultaneously comforting but also knocks you off balance a little bit because of how close it hits home.

while in her previous books i've been able to connect with her female protagonists the most, i can relate to a little piece of every friend in the main friend group (harriet, cleo and sabrina). and i think that, aside from harriet and wyn, the love story about adult friends is so prevalent in this story and just as important. i've found that it takes a lot of effort to maintain your friendships when you get older and in turn it's harder to recognize that things *are* different and sometimes you feel like you just have to roll with it and it's the way life goes, but i like that this book is realistic in the way that it deals with a group of friends growing up together and then separately.

anyway, i'll come back when we're closer to the due date. but just know, this book is going to absolutely overwhelm you in the best possible way.
