Spearhead: An American Tank Gunner, His Enemy, and a Collision of Lives in World War II by Adam Makos

5.0

This book is beyond words. I read most of it aloud to my wife and daughter because of how moving it was. Each chapter drew us closer to Clarence, Buck, Gustav, and many other real world characters. This story will bring you laughter, feelings of redemption, hope, and tears. It also paints a quick picture of the rippling affects of war. The lasting wounds that painfully reopen are given to the reader throughout. I would recommend this book to all servicemen, especially those suffering from grief, remorse, or PTSD.
