I fell for Arsène's charm immediately. He was the perfect foil for Sherlock, that's true, but I didn't expect Sherlock to ACTUALLY make an appearance! The gas-light era of crime is my favorite mystery genre and I was delighted with this addition to my collection. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.
