I can see how this book has so many mixed reviews. For me, the premise of the story was really intriguing, but I didn't find that it particularly pulled me in as far as plot through the whole book. Is she able to leave her husband or isn't she? Is she a witch or isn't she? Questions like that are hard to answer because there's so much back and forth surrounding it all. I appreciated the descriptiveness of the setting and felt like I learned a lot about how society functioned in the colonies in the 1600s. One star for the premise, one star for writing and publishing a book, but no more than that.
