Eyes That Kiss in the Corners by Joanna Ho

5.0

Eyes that Kiss in the Corners is a story about a young Asian girl that celebrates her eyes that, "kiss in the corners". Her eyes are just like her Mama's, Amah's, and Mei Mei's. This story is a celebration of her and her family's eyes because they hold the past as well as hope for the future. I would love to read this story as a full class because it holds an important message for all students. Eyes, hair, skin color, body shape, and everything else that describes a person, is what makes a person special and unique. It is important to accept and celebrate what makes us different from everyone else.
