Allie is nursing a broken heart after she ended things with her long term boyfriend. When her ex says he wants to talk to her, Allie panics and decides to stay at her best friend's boyfriend's place so she can avoid seeing him.

But when she shows up at the house, she finds herself alone with Dean. She's heard all about his reputation as the manwhore of the team and being with over half the girls in their university, and she is not interested. But she isn't blind and can't deny that he's hot and charming. One thing leads to another and they end up sleeping together.

The life of Dean is sweet and perfect. He gets what he wants, when he wants it. He's know how to score both on and off the ice. Until Allie. When his one night stand with Allie turns into one of the most mindblowing experiences he's had, he wants more but Allie turns him down and tells him to forget the whole thing and stay friends.

He tries to but is unable to get her out of his mind. Now he'll just have to convince her to give him another go.

4.5/5⭐️
On the surface it might look like Dean is the guy who is used to getting his way and only thinks about sex. But his character is soo much more than that. He doesn't use his family name to get to the top and yes his family is filthy rich but he isn't an ass about it. He works hard. He's smart, kind, funny, cares about his teammates, friends, family and Allie. And yes, he loves sex.

He's very honest about what he thinks and what he wants and doesn't play around.

Dean was effortlessly funny and some of the scenes made me laugh sooo hard. Especially that scene with Logan and Winston.

Allie was a fun character and I could relate to her in a lot of ways. How it's easy to keep going back to a relationship cause you've given so much of your time and effort to that relationship. But she always stood by her decisions and didn't give in to her ex and she didn't give in to Dean immediately either.

Her moments with Dean were really great. Going from a one night stand to friends to lovers. I like how she wasn't shy to ask for what she wanted. And their relationship slowly turned into something more without either of them wanting it to initially. Also, the spice was on another level.

This book definitely was more emotional compared to the rest of the series so far. I WAS NOT EXPECTING WHAT HAPPENED TO HAPPEN. I know something had to happen to test their relationship and make it stronger but I'm genuinely not over what happened. It broke my heart into a million pieces.
