Bright Steel by Miles Cameron

5.0

The brilliant conclusion to a brilliant series; Bright Steel brings it all home, and while I'm sad to say goodbye to my favourite series of the past few years, I couldn't argue with such an emotionally satisfying ending that keeps the intrigue going to the very last.
This book brings back so much of what I loved in the first book; the beautiful city building, the spying, the evolving and complex magical system, but ties in the chaotic and political elements of the second book. The cities feel alive with anxiety and full of energy as politics clash with the end of the world.
