The Devil in the Shape of a Woman: Witchcraft in Colonial New England
by Carol F. Karlsen
This book has been sitting on my bookshelf for YEARS and I am ashamed to have waited as long as I did to read it. This book includes a ton of historical facts and the author painlessly weaves through and seals in theories that make the reader really think. This book has a very strong feminist voice, in my opinion. My favorite part of reading this was that the author took information I already knew from school, added new information and historical facts, then really made me rethink my opinions about everything I thought I knew concerning the witch trials. Excellent read for you history buffs out there!
