Enjoyable at times, tedious at others. Some of the essayists were barely able to work in more of than a few lines about The Simpsons, limply connecting it to ideas from a pet philosopher, and these essays, no matter how much they had to teach about philosophy, were mostly unentertaining, totally missing the point of the book. Other essays applied a specific philosophical lens to the show and were much more successful at both teaching and entertaining
