I found a lot of this book very insightful and eye opening, especially compared to other similar books in the psychology / personal development space. Each chapter brings something new to take away with it, alongside by *a lot* of scientific research to back it up. The research is what I am excited to take with me and come back to as I am looking for reference further down the line.

Halfway through, I found myself really wanting to work through all of the things in my life, and finding ways to dishabituate to some, and habituate to new ones, to create better life experiences worth living. A lot ended up in my journal and it did absolutely help me work through some things.

That being said, while I enjoyed this book, and really wanted to love it based on the recommendation from NPR, I only really just liked it. While I mentioned I found lots of insight just about halfway through, I also became habituated to the word "habituate", and some things started to glaze over at a point, making finishing this book start to feel like a drag.

Still worth reading, even if just the title alone sparks some interest. Just be aware of the repetitive nature of this book going into it, and you may come out of it with a tiny bit more love for it as a book, rather than just the concept, than I did! :)
