Timepiece
by Myra McEntire
Though the change in narration took me a little by surprise, I admit Kaleb provided a fairly new perspective on the continuation of problems in Hourglass. While I wasn't wholly fond of his character, I did sympathize with him; his determination and protectiveness are also admirable, considering everything that's happened to him. Landers essentially returns to set Emerson, Michael, and Kaleb on edge while Lily becomes a key player in the story. Her ability, more valuable than she could have imagined, is one of several mysteries and plot twists that make Timepiece a fast-paced read. The whole time travel thing still confused me a bit, especially with the new information about rips, but maybe that's just because I haven't read Timepiece in a while?
