Extinction Horizon by Nicholas Sansbury Smith

3.0

'Vietnam was just a place for marines to go and die.'

Master Sergeant Beckham and his men are charged with recovering a virus sample of an Ebola variant that turns the infected into violent killers. I got around to this after stumbling on its prequel, ‘Extinction Red Line’, some time back and loving it. This one is just solid gory action and nothing but solid gory action. It is nowhere near as well constructed or entertaining as the prequel, and I became bored quite soon into it. Nothing new here for me, but others seemed to have liked it.
