This excellent novella contains a surprising amount of important information about the Cosmere. Despite being short, it provides hints about the tools used to unravel Adonalsium and a glimpse into the history of Sleepless and Ancient Guardians on Akina Island. The story is told from multiple points of view, with one of the main POVs being Lopen's. I particularly enjoyed reading about his character development, especially his iteration of the Third Ideal. Furthermore, some characters that initially seemed unimportant turned out to be significant towards the end, and I was surprised by Huio's portrayal.

One thing I really appreciated about this novella was how well Sanderson represented a character with a disability. I can't speak to the accuracy of the representation, but I'm grateful that it exists and helps promote empathy. It's also an excellent way to showcase Roshar's discoveries and progress. For example, we can see that some materials from other planets, such as Aluminum, are already present on Roshar. Overall, I found it a thoroughly enjoyable read and crucial information about the Cosmere. I can't wait to find out where it leads!
