a book about a young Indian newly-wed who is in an arranged-marriage and lives with her in-laws. her mother-in-law tells her to get a job, so she does. Only, its a job her in-laws probably won't like her having. Her marriage is put to the test and the concepts of American life are starting to be more familiar...but her relationship with the in-laws is what may lead to eventuall disaster.
