The Return of the King
by J.R.R. Tolkien
It's hard to put into words my feelings about this book and the other three in the series. Having seen the movies first and then read the books second (something I do not regret, but in fact encourage) I was amazed at how much more I learned about this story. This is not a story about the destroying of a ring, this is a story about friendship and loyalty. Some people might think that Frodo is the hero of the story, but I see the hero as Samwise. Someone who afterwards took very little credit of what he did, but yet was the most important person of the fellowship. It has inspired me to do more service to those around me and to not seek for praise and glory.
