FINALLY the Baudelaire orphans get to go to school. And surprise surprise... it is not a friendly school.
This book is where things start to get interesting, and we start to realise that things are deeper than they first appear. The Baudelaires make real, genuine friends who are helpful for once, which is interesting enough, but in the last couple of pages the Quagmires also drop the first hint that there is a larger context for the whole series.
