Book 26 for 2024 is _Demon Copperhead_ by Barbara Kingsolver. When I first read _Poisonwood Bible_ 20 years ago, it changed my reader life. Then there was _Prodigal Summer_, and _Flight Behavior_. Now we get Demon. It made me rethink my thesis focus just to spend more time with it. I am convinced the literary merit of her work will be beloved by readers and studied by scholars for a long time. This novel is…I can’t describe it. Just go get it.
