It was an exciting premise, but it wasn’t my favorite. A lot of the chapter endings felt excessively dramatic and I wished Frances’s guilt about Carys running away had been more built up. It also didn’t seem to touch on how deeply weird it would be to befriend your former-best-friend-who-you-kissed-and-then-she-disappeared’s twin brother. + the ending seemed a bit over the top. . Lastly I think the plot moved along a lot faster than felt graceful.
I did enjoy the premise of the podcast, and the WTNV references. The in-story podcast Universe City initially reminded me a lot of WTNV, so I was happy to see it referenced in the book!
