I wanted to love this book so much, but I was disappointed. I devoured Ghost and Dragon, it started falling apart for me at Wolf, and I completely lost interest before Devil was even released. So, if you are going to pick up the series, read them back to back.

I didn’t feel like I actually got to know and love Devil like the other three. The book was full of riddles, mysteries, and eerie atmosphere, but not enough about why we should care for the character himself. It favored more of the spookiness than the character as opposed to the other three books.

There is also so much focus on Blythe and how she is a Reaper, yet we see next to nothing of that and her powers. Or that we are in the last book of the series and she can say all she wants about wanting to be independent, but the boys keep coming to her rescue. Damsel in distress four books in.
