From Hell by Eddie Campbell, Alan Moore
3.0

A remarkably ugly story told in a remarkably ugly manner. As if the crimes themselves weren't terrible enough, Moore seems to delight in highlighting every truly horrifying detail (and they are innumerable) of the time and place. It would have been far more effective (and affective) if one didn’t get the feeling that Moore was simply reveling in the little extra perversions he crammed into every page.

All in all, vaguely interesting for Ripperphiles but generally underwhelming.
