"Certain Dark Things"

When i was picking my Halloween read for 2021 i was looking for a original vampire tale. My quest lead me towards "Certain Dark Things"

It was the first book that i read written by Silvia Moreno- Garcia. But definitely not my last. Certain Dark Things is a vampire horror adult novel, but unique in it sorts.Cliches doesn't exist and the book brings refreshment. Moreno created an orginal take on vampire characters.

The world building is dark and very violent and is set in Mexico City. It includes folklore, culture and more.

We are following Atl, a young beautiful, vampire who belongs to the Aztec blood drinkers.

Atl runs into Domingo, a homeless street kid. Domingo is unimpressed by The fact that Atl is being chased by the rival narco-vampire clan, and he accompanies Atl in her escape race not realizing what danger awaits him.

There is a lot going on in the story, crime investigators, bloody corpes and a romance.

This book is a absolute gem for everyone who is looking for a orginal vampire book wich can change their perception on the vampire world.

Each chapter follows a different character and they let you accompany them during their missions. I really enjoyed that.

Atl is my favorite character. She is badass, femme, sensual and powerful with a sparkle of mystery.

I'm not really sure what i need to think about the ending. I liked it but i also didn't liked it but i think that the ending fit the storyline.
