The third installment in The Empyrean series was on par with Iron Flame's readability but it offered a lot more world building, political happenings, explanations, and fighting sequences.
I enjoyed my time with these characters once again but didn't feel as invested in the plot this time around. Despite my 4-star rating, this book sort of dragged on and I'm not left with much to say. But, that ending?! This is why I don't usually read series until they're fully published lol.
