A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

5.0

So, I didn’t actually know anything about this book until I started reading and I was surprised at how good it was.

I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump, but this was the perfect pallet cleanser. The chapters are really short and I like the project updates that act almost like diary entries. I was a little bugged by the fact that the updates were in first person, while the story itself was third, but I guess it’s not such a big deal.

I was intrigued by the mystery and I liked how there were so many legit suspects. Usually mystery stories don’t go above 3 suspects, but this one has 5 that are super suspicious.

It unfolded in a really nice way and I like how well she worked with Ravi. The twists and turns were super gripping and genuinely surprising, but also within the realm of possibility. It had a satisfying conclusion, and I don’t know where the sequel will go, but it was really good.
